We are drowning in peaches. That did not stop us from buying more this weekend, because they had new varieties. What were we supposed to do?
It looks like I will be learning how to can and freeze peaches.
Anyway, I decided to try the Peach Cobbler recipe from Southern Living. The recipe is here. Instead of doing a traditional cobbler, we used pie crust. My favorite is from Better Homes and Gardens. Why did we do this, you ask? I wanted to try to make a lattice. I had never done it before.
Clearly, it did not go so well. Hopefully I improve with practice, otherwise we are looking at some very ugly pies this holiday season.
